Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (PBS Trained)

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with training in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)? We're looking for a calm, compassionate, and proactive individual to join a dedicated specialist education team supporting pupils with complex learning needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
About the Role:- Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, communication difficulties, and sensory processing challenges.
- Use PBS strategies to promote positive engagement, emotional regulation, and independence.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver personalised learning plans.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils achieve social, emotional, and academic progress.
- Assist with communication tools such as PECS, Makaton, and visual supports.
- Contribute to a calm, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
About You:- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, particularly ASD or complex needs.
- PBS training or experience is essential.
- Understanding of trauma-informed or person-centred approaches.
- Patient, resilient, and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
- A team player with strong communication skills.
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Health and Social Care is desirable.
