Engage Education are currently seeking a Qualified Teacher to join a welcoming primary SEN school in Wandsworth.

This nurturing school places pupils at the centre of everything they do, offering an exciting and creative curriculum that supports each child's individual learning journey. With a strong focus on communication, social skills, and early academic development, children are encouraged to achieve their best both personally and academically.

The school caters for primary-aged pupils with moderate learning difficulties, including ASD, ADHD, and speech, language and communication needs. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting young learners, patient, and proactive in meeting their individual needs.

Role Details - Qualified Teacher
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
  • Write progress reports for individual pupils and share updates with the Senior Leadership Team and parents
  • Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and thematic projects suited to primary-age children
  • Implement targeted interventions based on Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Plans
  • Use positive reinforcement strategies to support behaviour and engagement
  • Carry out risk assessments to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment
Person Specification - Qualified Teacher
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Have at least two years of teaching experience, ideally within the primary or SEND sector
  • Be confident working with children with complex and co-occurring neurodiverse needs
  • Demonstrate creativity, flexibility, and resilience in supporting pupils with diverse learning profiles
  • Have a strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and SEND Code of Practice
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and families
