Working: The role is office based with occasional travel to other company sites in the UK. Office site presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out testing of items in accordance with documented procedures and complete relevant test documentation
- Carry out fault finding to understand any failures and feedback to other departments (Production/Manufacturing Engineering) to aid process improvement
- Repair and maintain test equipment where required
- Support other Test Department personnel as required
- Work to deadlines set by the Production Manager and the Test Systems Manager
- Setup of equipment to perform production testing
- Raise MRBs/defect reports as required
Skills, Qualification and Experience
- Experience testing electromechanical products.
- Good understanding of electromechanical measurement and test principles, and fault diagnosis techniques, with demonstrable experience down to component level.
- Minimum HNC level of Engineering qualifications or equivalent
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including generation of test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports
- Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment would be advantageous
- Experience in the Naval / Maritime domain would be advantageous.
