Our client, a charming boutique hotel located on the outskirts of Ipswich, is looking to recruit an experienced and personable Events Manager to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for hospitality and customer service to oversee the planning and delivery of weddings, private celebrations, and corporate events, while helping to grow the venue's events business.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing event enquiries from initial contact through to completion.
• Meeting with clients and creating bespoke packages to suit their requirements.
• Coordinating weddings, private functions, and occasional corporate events.
• Preparing quotations, contracts, and event schedules.
• Working closely with the kitchen, reception, and operational teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Building strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Maximising sales opportunities and converting enquiries into bookings.
• Assisting with the promotion and development of the hotel's events offering.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in event management, wedding coordination, hotel operations, or hospitality.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach.
• Ability to build rapport with guests and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive attitude.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport are essential due to the location of the hotel.
