Caretaker/Premises Assistant

• Location: Leatherhead
• Salary: Paid according to school scales
• Duration: ASAP until Christmas
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are seeking a dedicated Caretaker/Premises Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone with prior caretaking experience in schools or similar environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the premises, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for all.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Perform general caretaking duties, including cleaning, minor repairs, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage supplies and equipment needed for daily operations.
• Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments to ensure the premises meet all required standards.
• Respond to and resolve any issues related to the building or grounds promptly.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in caretaking, preferably within a school setting.
• Knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
