A supportive and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Milton Keynes is looking to appoint a confident and compassionate Behaviour Mentor for an immediate start. This temporary role is ideal for someone with experience in supporting young people facing behavioural challenges and looking to make a meaningful impact in a school setting.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting students with behavioural and emotional needs, primarily across KS3 and KS4
Delivering 1:1 and small group mentoring sessions to improve engagement and conduct
Assisting in developing and implementing individual behaviour plans
Providing in-class support and helping manage challenging behaviour
Liaising with pastoral teams and external agencies to support pupil wellbeing
What we're looking for:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - essential and non-negotiable
Relevant UK-based experience in a behaviour support or mentoring role - essential
Strong understanding of SEMH needs and behaviour management strategies
Calm, patient, and resilient under pressure
Passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning
