Field Service Engineer to join their expanding team.
Role Overview: As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heavy plant equipment to ensure optimal performance. You will work on-site at customer locations, delivering exceptional service that upholds the companies reputation in the market.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on a range of heavy plant equipment, including excavators, wheel loaders, and other machinery.
- Conduct routine maintenance and preventive servicing to minimise equipment downtime.
- Provide technical support and advice to customers to optimise machine efficiency.
- Complete detailed service reports and communicate findings to the service manager and customers.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures during field operations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment and technology advancements.
Qualifications and Experience: - Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with heavy plant equipment (e.g., excavators, wheel loaders).
- Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems in heavy machinery.
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment issues.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a variety of on-site conditions.
- Valid driver s license and willingness to travel as required.
What's On Offer? - Base Salary £42,000 - £48,000, dependant on experience.
- 40 Hour contract, Monday to Friday.
- Regular overtime, enhanced hourly rate. Current engineers earning in excess of £60,000 per year.
