As they continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Property Management to lead their team and play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the business.

Role Overview: The Head of Property Management is a senior leadership role that offers significant autonomy, strategic influence, and the opportunity to add real value to the organisation. Reporting directly to the Executive Board, you will lead a large and diverse property management team, overseeing the end-to-end management of a varied property portfolio. Your role will be pivotal in driving operational excellence, increasing profitability, and enhancing client and tenant satisfaction.

You will work closely with the Executive Board to align property management strategies with corporate objectives and play a key role in shaping the future growth of the organisation. This position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the business, while delivering high-quality results for both the company and its stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead, develop, and inspire a large team of property management professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Set clear goals and deliverables to drive both individual and team success.
  • Strategic Leadership & Board Reporting: Report directly to the Executive Board, providing strategic insights and recommendations to optimise portfolio performance and support business growth. Collaborate with senior leaders to align property management initiatives with broader corporate objectives.
  • Autonomous Decision-Making: Take full ownership of key property management functions, with the autonomy to implement process improvements, innovate, and make decisions that add value to the organisation s bottom line.
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the management of a diverse property portfolio, ensuring maximum occupancy, high tenant retention, and efficient operations. Drive profitability while maintaining the highest standards of property care and service delivery.
  • Financial Stewardship: Lead the budgeting process for property management, ensuring cost controls are in place while driving value through operational efficiencies. Track key financial metrics, report on performance, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients, tenants, contractors, and key service providers. Address and resolve any issues swiftly to ensure client and tenant satisfaction.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all properties comply with current legal and regulatory requirements. Identify risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, safeguarding the company s reputation and assets.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement within the property management function, adopting new technologies and systems to improve operational efficiency, service quality, and value delivery.
Key Requirements:
  • Extensive Property Management Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years' experience managing a large, diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties. Proven leadership of teams, with a focus on driving performance and results.
  • Leadership & Strategic Vision: A natural leader with experience in managing large teams and working closely with senior executives. Strong ability to shape strategy and provide valuable insights to the Executive Board.
  • Autonomy & Accountability: Demonstrable ability to take ownership of significant projects and drive change with minimal oversight. A proven track record of adding value through strategic decision-making.
  • Financial Acumen: Solid experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Comfortable with making data-driven decisions to improve portfolio performance.
  • Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of property management best practices, legal requirements, and market trends. A deep understanding of both residential and commercial property management.
  • Client-Focused: A strong focus on client and tenant relationships, with a proven ability to build and maintain long-term partnerships.
  • Problem-Solving & Innovation: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of successfully navigating complex challenges and delivering innovative solutions.
