A leading international law firm is seeking a mid-level US-qualified associate to join its highly regarded US Securities practice in London. This is a broad role spanning ECM, DCM, cross-border offerings and complex international transactions.

Our client is a prestigious global law firm with a well-established US Securities practice operating at the heart of international capital markets work. The team advises on high-profile, cross-border offerings into the US, working closely with leading investment banks and multi-jurisdictional legal teams across the firm.

Description

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and negotiate transactions with appropriate supervision
  • Draft complex legal advice with minimal amendments
  • Supervise junior lawyers and contribute to team development
  • Provide commercial, client-focused advice across ECM, DCM and cross-border securities matters
  • Act for underwriting banks on equity offerings into the US
  • Support BD initiatives and take on client-facing responsibilities
  • Work closely with ECM, DCM, Funds and Securitisation teams on new mandates

Profile

  • 3-6 years' experience gained at a leading US or UK firm
  • A JD from a top US law school (strong LLMs may be considered)
  • ECM experience, ideally with exposure to foreign private issuer-style transactions connected to the London Stock Exchange
  • Additional DCM or high-yield experience (advantageous)
  • Excellent prospectus drafting skills and strong familiarity with SEC rules and practice
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to deliver clear, commercial advice in a fast-paced environment
