Reablement Training/Teaching OT

Locum Senior Occupational Therapist - Reablement & Moving & Handling Training

Looking for something a bit different? We're seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join an OT team in London to support reablement and moving & handling training. This role combines both theoretical and practical elements.

Key details:

• Deliver theory-based training remotely and face-to-face (initially)
• Progress to joint visits with staff to provide practical training and support competency sign-off
• Be onsite in the borough at least 3 days per week
• Conduct a small number of OT assessments including domiciliary care reviews, risk assessments, and specifying straightforward adaptations (e.g., wet rooms, stairlifts)

Ideal candidate:

• Experience in reablement within OT workflows
• Skilled in functional OT assessments, reablement strategies, moving & handling, and equipment training
• Comfortable delivering staff training and supervision
