Mobile Warden

• Location: Welwyn Garden City
• Hourly Rate: £14.73 per hour
• Hours of work: 2 x 8-hour days (the two 8-hour days will be any day Monday to Saturday) - Each 8-hour day shift will be followed by a 16-hour standby (the standby is done from home).

We are seeking a dedicated Mobile Warden to provide essential support and emergency response services to our sheltered housing and community alarm clients within the Welwyn and Hatfield area. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of our elderly, sick, disabled, or vulnerable service users. The ideal candidate will have experience working with these groups and be committed to delivering a high level of customer-focused support.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide monitoring and emergency response services to sheltered housing and community alarm clients.
• Install and remove Lifeline alarm units in the community as needed.
• Conduct routine visits to Lifeline service users according to the established program.
• Deliver a 24-hour emergency support service to Lifeline service users and Sheltered Scheme residents.
• Handle emergency calls and visit residents at their homes as required, including out of hours.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with the elderly and vulnerable.
• Ability to assess the complex and varied support needs of older people.
• Must be a driver with access to a car, insured for business use.
• Must be local to respond promptly to emergency calls within a set timeframe.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
