JOB- Design Engineer
LOCATION- Ware, Hertfordshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- 35,000 to 45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Premier Engineering is seeking a Design Engineer with AutoCAD experience to join a growing company based in Ware, Hertfordshire. This role involves creating detailed technical drawings and designs, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop high-quality products.

The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• A degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D)
• Experience in mechanical or structural design within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Knowledge of materials, fabrication, and manufacturing processes
• Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and BOMs
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

The Design Engineer role will involve:

• Creating detailed AutoCAD drawings for manufacturing and production
• Developing and modifying designs based on customer and project requirements
• Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and production teams
• Ensuring designs meet industry standards and regulations
• Managing multiple projects and ensuring deadlines are met
• Reviewing and improving existing designs for cost-effectiveness and efficiency
