The Role:

We are recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a well-led, inclusive 2-form entry primary school in Greenwich. This is a full-time position to start as soon as possible, with the intention of continuing into the academic year and transitioning to a permanent contract.

The school is looking for a confident and proactive HLTA to take ownership of PSHCE delivery across all year groups and provide high-quality classroom support. You will work across Key Stage 1 and 2, deliver whole-class lessons in the absence of the teacher, and lead group interventions in core subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver PSHCE lessons across the school

• Provide whole-class cover when required

• Lead small group interventions in English and maths

• Assist in planning and assessing learning activities

• Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and personal development

• Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team

Requirements:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience

• Previous experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in a primary school setting

• Strong understanding of PSHCE and its role in pupil development

• Excellent behaviour management and classroom leadership skills

• Reliable, flexible, and a genuine team player
