We are recruiting a Trainee Paraplanner for our client who is a successful financial planning company based in Milton Keynes, with an expanding team of experienced Financial Advisers who cover all aspects of Financial Planning.

This is a highly varied role and a fantastic opportunity for the correct individual with a keen interest in financial services with great opportunities for career development. The company offer in- house Financial Adviser Training and support their team with Professional Qualifications.

This role would suit a graduate professional, who has experience dealing with high wealth clients and has a personable approach. Familiar with a range of financial planning techniques including report writing, recommendations and research as this will be a large part of the role.

The principal duties of the role are listed below, but primarily your role would be to support the Adviser in formulating appropriate advice.

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive, highly organised Administrator to support our growing team of financial advisers. This pivotal role ensures the smooth operation of daily administrative tasks, allowing our advisers to focus on delivering exceptional service and strategic advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to financial advisers and the wider team.
  • Prepare and process documentation related to client onboarding, investment and pension applications.
  • Prepare meeting packs. Liaise with product providers and clients to follow up on documentation and ensure timely completion of cases.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and files in line with compliance requirements.
  • Carry out transactions on investment platforms
  • Monitor incoming emails and calls, directing enquiries appropriately.
  • Support compliance and regulatory tasks, including maintenance of CRM
  • Assist in producing reports, spreadsheets, and ad-hoc projects as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • You have a 'can do' attitude and are able to use your own initiative
  • Excellent customer service skills, with prior experience in a financial services or professional services environment preferred.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Comfortable working with confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM or financial planning software is a plus.
  • R0 exams are not mandatory, and support would be given for study

Preferred Attributes

  • Knowledge of financial planning processes and terminology.
  • Experience supporting advisers or professionals in regulated industries.
