We are seeking a Management Accounting Improvements Lead to support process improvements within a finance division. This temporary role focuses on driving significant changes in management accounting, streamlining workflows, and enhancing financial reporting accuracy within a respected organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead improvements in cost management, cash flow management, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Simplify processes to enhance the provision of accurate financial data for decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify and implement efficiencies.
- Provide training and support to embed new processes across the finance team.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements.
- Promote collaboration across finance teams to improve service delivery.
Key Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience in management accounting.
- Proven leadership experience with a focus on continuous improvement and service delivery.
- Advanced IT skills, including strong proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of the higher education funding environment and/or experience in HE institutions.
- Familiarity with Oracle Financials or similar systems.
