Assistant / Quantity Surveyor

Assistant / Quantity Surveyor required (Full or Part Time)

My client specialise in conservation and restoration of historic buildings and statuary are currently planning further sustainable growth of the business. They are a family run sub - contractor.

They are seeking to appoint an Assistant QS or a QS to develop as their business continues to grow.

Based in London and the South East, with a requirement to travel to sites across the UK, the successful candidate will work alongside our project managers and report directly to the Commercial Manager. The ideal candidate will be professional and discrete in dealing with projects of a sensitive nature and will be required to pass security clearance for key sites in London. They will have at least 3-5 years in the Heritage sector, possess strong commercial awareness and take on responsibility for the following work activities:

Visiting sites to prepare monthly Valuations, Applications and Final Accounts

Managing change control and variations within specific project contracts

Working alongside the project team to manage the commercial performance of projects

Undertake pricing and estimating for live projects and tenders.

Performing risk, value management and cost control;

Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.

Salary in the region of 40k - 50k subject to qualification and experience.

You must have a driving license and be able to travel to sites across the UK
