Legal Services Contract Relationship Manager

About the Team

The Professional Regulation directorate is responsible for delivery of the NMC's core regulatory functions. We work with a range of contractual partners to ensure our services meet the highest standards. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Contract Manager to join our team and lead on our responsibilities for Legal Services Contracts. This role will be responsible for driving and maintaining strong effective contractual relationships across the Directorate and with external stakeholders to ensure delivery of our shared aims.

About the role

This is an exciting new role that will provide oversight and assurance of some of our more high profile contracts that sit within the Professional Regulation Directorate. The role will be fast-paced and as part of the role, you will manage high-value contracts by driving our contractual performance, ensure financial controls and will form strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and our external legal firms.

About You

With proven public sector contract management experience, you will be able to lead on the above key responsibilities occasionally working autonomously. You will be an experienced negotiator who is able to evidence key judgments in the negotiation of a wide range of contracts.

Ideally you will bring experience of working with legal contracts either from an inhouse perspective or from partnering with law forms. Its desirable but not essential that you would have knowledge of professional regulation.
