Job Title: Portfolio Analyst

Overview
We are seeking a Portfolio Analyst to support the effective management and governance of our change portfolio. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality reporting and analysis across projects and programmes, ensuring senior leaders and delivery teams have timely, accurate information to enable informed decision-making, prioritisation, and control of business change initiatives.
This role sits within the Operations Portfolio, with a particular focus on the Risk & Compliance Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce comprehensive reports providing an aggregated view of delivery progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and key decisions for programme and portfolio-level reviews.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reports to support successful programme outcomes.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders, including the Chief Operating Officer, Operations Leadership Team, and Transformation Head of Portfolio.
- Maintain clear, professional, and influential communication with both senior leadership and wider stakeholder groups across the business.
- Support portfolio planning, prioritisation, and resource allocation through evidence-based analysis.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, budgets, and benefit realisation across the portfolio.
- Ensure adherence to governance standards, escalating variances and risks where appropriate.
- Provide analytical support to programme and project managers, helping identify issues and recommending effective solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of portfolio management frameworks, tools, and processes.
- Collaborate closely with PMO colleagues and delivery teams to ensure consistent, accurate reporting.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working in regulated Financial Services environments.
- Strong report-writing skills with experience preparing reports for senior leadership audiences.
- Familiarity with RAG reporting, RAID logs, and change control processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Working knowledge of operations environments, including Contact Centres and Field Services.
- Awareness of Consumer Duty (advantageous but not essential).
- Experience delivering projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office.

- Ability to connect project activities to key business outcomes, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
Stakeholder Relationships
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across functions-particularly with COO, Head of Portfolio, Compliance, Risk, and Finance teams.
- Influence decision-making and build consensus, even without formal authority.
- Facilitate discussions, resolve conflicts, and align diverse teams around regulatory and business priorities.
