This role sits within the Operations Portfolio, with a particular focus on the Risk & Compliance Programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce comprehensive reports providing an aggregated view of delivery progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and key decisions for programme and portfolio-level reviews.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reports to support successful programme outcomes.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders, including the Chief Operating Officer, Operations Leadership Team, and Transformation Head of Portfolio.
  • Maintain clear, professional, and influential communication with both senior leadership and wider stakeholder groups across the business.
  • Support portfolio planning, prioritisation, and resource allocation through evidence-based analysis.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, budgets, and benefit realisation across the portfolio.
  • Ensure adherence to governance standards, escalating variances and risks where appropriate.
  • Provide analytical support to programme and project managers, helping identify issues and recommending effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of portfolio management frameworks, tools, and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with PMO colleagues and delivery teams to ensure consistent, accurate reporting.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience working in regulated Financial Services environments.
  • Strong report-writing skills with experience preparing reports for senior leadership audiences.
  • Familiarity with RAG reporting, RAID logs, and change control processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Working knowledge of operations environments, including Contact Centres and Field Services.
  • Awareness of Consumer Duty (advantageous but not essential).
  • Experience delivering projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office.

Strategic Thinking

  • Ability to connect project activities to key business outcomes, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.

Stakeholder Relationships

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across functions-particularly with COO, Head of Portfolio, Compliance, Risk, and Finance teams.
  • Influence decision-making and build consensus, even without formal authority.
  • Facilitate discussions, resolve conflicts, and align diverse teams around regulatory and business priorities.

Collaboration & Culture

  • Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing environment.
  • Foster open communication and teamwork across stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Encourage delivery excellence and best practice across the portfolio.
  • Demonstrate resilience, composure, and integrity when managing complex or conflicting priorities.
