Empowering is recruiting for an Early year's teacher based in Bromley Borough to work full -Time. Teaching pupils in year 3 class (who are developmentally like Year 1 children) with autism and ADHD.
My client school are looking for a teacher to teach small groups with autism and SEMH. We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced teacher to join our team on a long-term basis.
This role starts ASAP
Duties and responsibilities
- Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the school's plans, curriculum, and schemes of work.
- Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment
- Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils
- Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
- Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
- Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
- Participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for external tests
Role and Responsibilities:
- The teacher will work 5 days a week from 8.30 am till 4 pm (not negotiable).
- The teacher will need to start as soon as possible.
- The right person will be responsible for handover and planning for the return for this term.
- The teacher will need to have experience or a qualification in teaching children.
- PGCE, QTS or QTLS, bachelor's in education ( will be required at a minimum to be applicable for this role)
Requirements:
- A degree in education or a relevant qualification in teaching is required.
- Experience working with children with Autism, SEMH needs is highly desirable, not a must
- Passion and dedication to work with children with special needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
