Senior Quantity Surveyor

A well-established contractor is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a long-term gas framework based in Croydon. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and hybrid working on a 15m-per-year, four-year project.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor

This role offers the chance to work with a reputable contractor on a significant gas framework, where you will be responsible for all commercial aspects of the project. You will be a key figure in managing costs, contracts, and procurement, ensuring the smooth financial operation of the framework. With a hybrid working setup, you will have the flexibility to work between site, office, and home.

Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor:

• Lead commercial management of a 15m-per-year gas framework.
• Prepare cost reports, valuations, and contractual claims.
• Oversee subcontractor procurement and commercial performance.
• Ensure contract compliance and risk management.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, and cost tracking.
• Work closely with clients, project teams, and stakeholders.

Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor:

• Previous experience working on gas infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple commercial processes efficiently.
• Strong IT skills and experience with relevant software.
