Traffic and Transport Admin Supervisor
£30,000 Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm / 9am - 5:30pm Manningtree
Role:
To work within established systems and procedures under the direction of the Operations Manager to support and take the lead with general administrative transport tasks.
Job Purpose
To supervise Transport Administration activities in line with the UK Road Business. Lead and motivate the team through the provision of an excellent administration service.
Responsibilities (Operational):
- Building jobs accurately in the Traffic Management System ensuring all rates, vehicles details, special instructions are visible for the Traffic Allocation Team and the drivers.
- Answering queries on the telephone from customers chasing up their deliveries.
- Answering job queries from drivers on the telephone, and letting them know what their next job is, sending the details through to their PDA.
- Sending Advance Delivery Notifications for Volvo deliveries being completed by Subcons.
- Scanning all Order Requests into the jobs on the system and ensuring there is a comprehensive audit trail to any amendments made.
- Responding to ever changing priorities depending on current needs.
- Monthly Highlights Report.
- Take Lead on all Admin Customer enquiries.
- Responsible for reviewing all Road Ops admin processes under Groupe's Continuous Improvement policy.
- Carrying out all requirements for Stellantis OBT platform.
- Setting up Drivers in Advantage, truck reallocations and customer specific permit passes.
- Driver and APP support, including setting up company emails, tablets for new drivers, and any ongoing issues.
- Support on any new projects.
- Support for the Quality and traffic teams to ensure addresses and route recce details are up to date.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time.
Required Experience:
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Able to produce, cross reference, add formulas and perform look ups etc.
- Ability to work deadlines with great attention to accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise work during busier periods.
- Good geographical understanding of the UK and knowledge of the Automotive Industry.
- Willing to take on new responsibilities and committed to personal development.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to adapt plans and able to deal with change.
