Tradewind are working with a Primary school in Chatham, recruiting for a 2:1 Learning Support Assistant with specialism working with a child with Complex Needs. This will be on a full-time basis and is currently shortlisting now to start immediately.

The school has onsite parking and is easily accessible via public transport. They have been graded Good by Ofsted with special attention given to the enthusiasm of the pupils and the effective strategies the school employs to support children with SEN.

The Role

• Working primarily with a child with complex SEN needs on a 2:1.
• SEN needs themselves range from SEMH, ASD, ADHD and Behavioural Needs.
• Assessing students' progress and discussing development with Teachers, Parents/Carers, and external agencies if necessary.
• Undertaking CPD if the role requires it, in which you will be accredited for.

Requirements

• Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant would be highly desirable.
• Holding a L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be highly desirable but not essential.
• Experience working with children with SEN within an education, pastoral, or personal setting would be highly desirable
• Experience working with Young Offenders or in an Intervention role is highly desirable.
• Either have, or be willing to get, an enhanced DBS on the update service.
• Must have right to work in the UK
