C# Developer

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a C# Developer for an initial 6 month contract based in London with remote working available.

Purpose of the Role:

Working within the Risk Systems - Counterparty Measures team you will help develop high performance computing and parallel programming techniques as well as technologies like data grids, compute grids, non-SQL databases and GPUs (Graphic Processing Units).

Responsibilities of the role:

As a C# Developer you will be responsible for:

• Work closely with the quantitative developers in the risk methodology team to understand their requirements for the implementation of pricers and analytic services integration.
• Maintain and enhance the existing pricing framework to meet these requirements.
• Maintain and enhance the existing analytic platform to meet these requirements.
• Work with the domain architect and development team to ensure that solutions are compliant with the overall enterprise solution.
• Enforce agile development practices such as automated testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• Review code and ensure that it is compliant with the principles and practices of the development teams while ensuring that the needs of the quantitative developers are met.
• Hands on development of any tools/framework changes to meet requirements.

What we require from the candidate:

• Excellent C# development using MS Visual Studio.
• High performance computing and parallel programming techniques.
• Experience on continuous delivery.
• Experience on DevOps tooling.
• Experience on working on enterprise scale distributed systems valued.
• Java experience valued.
• An appreciation of challenges and patterns for distributed systems.
• Experience working with acceptance testing frameworks.
• Valued experience on one or more of the distributed technologies (or similar) used by the team: Oracle Coherence, Apache Cassandra, Spectrum Symphony, Kafka, etc.
