Import / Export Clerk

Freightserve recruitment are looking for an Import / Export Clerk for a well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Slough, Berkshire area.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Coordinate and oversee multimodal transportation activities including air, sea & roadfreight.
• Ensure efficient routing and scheduling of shipments to optimize transportation costs and delivery timelines.
• Liaise with carriers, vendors, and clients to coordinate shipments and resolve any operational issues.
• Manage documentation, customs clearance, and compliance requirements for international shipments.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.

Requirements:-

• Proven experience in multimodal operations within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
