You will work for a thriving, family-run media production company with a reputation for creativity and excellence. They are looking for a reliable and adaptable bookkeeper to join their close-knit finance team, playing a vital role in supporting the business's continued success.

Your new role

Purchase Ledger Management: Process low-volume supplier invoices and make adhoc payments.

Sales Invoicing: Raise and issue occasional sales invoices, ensuring timely and correct billing.

Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.

Journal Entries: Post journals including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.

VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC deadlines.

Entity Oversight: Take sole responsibility for bookkeeping and reporting for one business entity whilst providing support across six additional entities as needed.

Ad-hoc Duties: Assist with other finance-related tasks and projects as required

9:30am-6pm Monday to Friday - 5 days in office during probationary period with flexibility to work 1 day from home per week following successful completion of a 3-month probationary period.

What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance role in a small team.

Sage 50 experience is essential

Strong understanding of accounting principles and VAT.

Proficiency in Excel.

Flexible and adaptable approach to work.

Down-to-earth attitude with a strong work ethic.

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
