Ward Manager - Mental Health ( RMN ) Location: Southwest, London Salary: £50,375 - £56,329 (dependent on experience) Hours: 37.5 Permanent Full-time A balanced split between clinical time and supernumerary leadership (approx. 60/40) The Hospital:A respected and specialist private hospital in southwest London offering inpatient care for adults and young people across mental health, addiction, and neurodevelopmental conditions. The Role: A visible clinical leader responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality care and effective management of ward operations. This is a hands-on senior role, balancing team supervision, clinical governance, and patient experience.
Core Responsibilities as a Ward Manager: - Lead and support the ward team to maintain high standards of care
- Manage ward rotas, skill mix, recruitment and daily operational planning
- Act as mentor and role model, providing supervision, appraisals, and performance guidance
- Maintain ward safety, cleanliness, medication standards and documentation quality
- Lead on investigations, safeguarding, complaints, and incident reviews as needed
- Ensure compliance with MHA, MCA and DoLS frameworks
About You: - NMC-registered ( RMN ) with at least 2 years' experience in a supervisory clinical role
- Background in acute, addiction, adolescent or similar inpatient settings
- Up to date on audit processes, governance standards and safeguarding policy
