Our client based in Bedford are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader on a late shift.
The role involves:-
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Warehouse Operatives
- Assign and monitor daily tasks to ensure timely and accurate order picking
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any identified hazards
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements
- Oversee the picking process to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Monitor workflow and adjust staffing levels as needed to meet operational demands
- Ensure all picked orders meet quality standards and customer requirements
- Conduct random checks on picked orders to verify accuracy
- Address any discrepancies or errors promptly
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the picking team
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members
- Identify training needs and coordinate training
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with other supervisors and managers to share best practices and drive overall warehouse performance
- As a key holder you will participate in an on-call rota with other Managers/Supervisors for any security issues/breaches out of hours and will be required to comply with security requirements when opening and locking the site
If you have the following:-
- Counterbalance & Reach licenses
- At least 3 years experience within a management role
