Nursery Nurse Level 3
Location: Catford SE6
Salaries: £24,000 - £26,000 per year
Hours: 8 hours shifts - Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent Full-Time, Part-time
Our client is recruiting for a Nursery Nurse Level 3 for a (Home-like-Enviorment) nursery located in Catford. The Nursery Nurse will be directly responsible for creating and maintaining an engaging environment that is both stimulating and comfortable, while also establishing positive relationships with both children and their parents, as well as a genuine interest in the childcare sector.
Knowledge
- A sound understanding of early childhood development and learning.
- Training in the relevant learning strategies.
- First aid training/training as appropriate is desirable.
- Understanding of relevant polices/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation.
- Good working knowledge of national/foundation stage curriculum and other basic learning programmes/strategies.
- Understanding of Healthy Schools initiative and Every Child Matters framework.
- An understanding of Child Protection / Safeguarding issues and procedures.
Qualifications:
- NNEB, NVQ3, BTEC or equivalent Childcare qualification or mature person wanting to retrain back to work
- Qualified First Aider or we can train
- Passionate in Early Years children
- 2 years paid/unpaid full time working within Early Years with evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
- Ability to plan for the EYFS /curriculum
- Able to maintain records, and good practice at all times, and contribute to policy and practice
- Work on own initiative
- Demonstrate an understanding of the importance attached to treating information and matters relating to the work of the nursery as confidential matters.
- DBS is required for this position

Key Duties:
- Being a key person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families according to the EYFS
- Promoting and supporting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues
- Take necessary steps to safeguard all who access the setting, adhering to the safeguarding policy
- Ensuring the health, safety and well-being of the children at all times
- Flexible in working hours if required.
- Support daily routines.
- Follow policies and procedures.
- Leading staff members and teams.
- Light cleaning duties.
- Maintain a high level of supervision.
- Maintain confidentiality.
