My client is a Local Authority in North West London who are looking to appoint their Head of Finance on an Interim basis.

About the role:

Based in London (Hybrid):

To act as the lead professional financial adviser for budgets of up to 250m of considerable technical and operational complexity. Leading, managing and co-ordinating financial processes across the organisation.

What's on offer:

• Salary: 700+ per day, inside IR35.

• Contract type: Contract (40 hrs a week)
• Hours: 08:00 -17:00 Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

1. Provide high-quality financial accounting, strategic management accounting, budgeting and financial planning and commercial advice to a department or function within the council.
2. Provide advice directly to and manage relationships with leading Members, Strategic Directors and other senior managers across the council, and to manage comparable relationships with major partners and contractors.
3. To take a leading responsibility, within own area of work, for identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency and enhance financial control.

About you:
You will have the following experiences:

• Qualified CCAB Accountant or Equivalent Relevant Finance Qualification.
• Extensive knowledge of one or more specialist and complex areas of either technical accounting or relevant sector knowledge.
