Material Buyer

Carbon60 is currently recruiting a Materials Buyer for a well known UK based Aviation company.

Rate: 20 to 24 per hour

Duration: 6-months to perm

Location: Heathrow

Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Material Controller to join our clients team. The successful candidate will actively manage and develop team members, set and achieve challenging targets through process improvement, and ensure compliance with engineering policies and safety standards. Key responsibilities include managing the repair and overhaul of materials, planning and managing material requirements for aircraft and program modifications, and evaluating potential suppliers. The role also involves managing budgets, ensuring customer requirements are met, and maintaining contractual arrangements with suppliers.

Skills and Capabilities:

• Proven procurement and inventory management experience
• Strong supplier management and project planning skills
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• IT and SAP literacy, particularly MRP
• Ability to manage spend within budget and adapt to change
