On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit a Specialist IT person, to join their team on permanent basis. This is a hybrid role with 4 days in the office, 1 day work from home (some out of hours /weekend work will be required).
The purpose of the role is operational and technical support of IT systems, providing desktop support and have a good understanding of the overall architecture of the clients infrastructure and networks. You will also be responsible for helping on the facilities side as and when needed. Support the Facilities Team in delivering a consistent and efficient service and assist the Facilities Management Officer
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Responsible for ensuring all equipment is correctly configured and fully operational, by providing immediate assistance to users to minimize the impact of IT related problems.
- Reporting and resolution of IT system issues by taking corrective actions or through coordination with the appropriate IT resources either in house or externally. Log issues using the appropriate ticket system(s).
- Responsible for management of joiners and leavers.
- Engagement with roll out activities, working closely with other technology staff to ensure standard support criteria are met prior to implementation.
- Build, install, maintain and support all Desktop equipment, laptops, printers etc. And all related software, including all local hardware and related software not mentioned above.
- Document and maintain software installation procedures and images for laptops, iPhones, user management and IT asset management.
- Proactively maintain local PC/desktop architecture as required and possess a sound understanding of systems architecture and design.
- Manage the administration of Smartphones/Tablets, alerting, patching and other security and system management applications.
- Ensure regulatory compliance for all IT systems.
- Assist in resolving any network problems.
- Document and maintain software installation procedures and images for laptops.
- Liaise with product Vendors, hardware suppliers and Information suppliers.
- Set up video conferencing when required.

Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience in documenting and maintaining software installation procedures and images for laptops, iPhones, user management and IT asset management.
- Experience in proactively maintaining local PC/desktop architecture as required and possess a sound understanding of systems architecture and design.
- Knowledge of managing the administration of Smartphones/Tablets, alerting, patching and other security and system management applications.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance for all IT systems.
- Experience in assisting in resolving any network problems.
