Senior Category Manager

Location: Unit 1, 129 Coldharbour Lane, London, SE5 9NY
Salary: £64,200 - £71,300 plus up to 12% annual bonus
Hours: 37.5

Our client are looking for an experienced Senior Category Manager to join their Procurement team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead high-value procurement projects and drive efficiency in healthcare supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement category strategies to optimise value and innovation.
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes within the assigned categories.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
• Conduct market analysis and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier performance.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements:

• CIPS qualification or equivalent is essential.
• Certification in the UK's Procurement Act 2023 and its implications for public sector tendering is essential.
• Proven experience in a similar role within procurement and supply chain management.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
