The school are looking for a friendly and professional Administrator Receptionist to join their team and be the first point of contact for our visitors, clients, and staff.

Job Overview:
The Administrator Receptionist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to visitors and callers, while efficiently managing administrative tasks in a busy school environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced setting. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with school administrator and receptionist experience who enjoys working in a community-focused role.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and parents, ensuring they are greeted in a warm and professional manner.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate departments or staff members.
  • Manage the school's front desk area, ensuring it is clean, organised, and welcoming at all times.
  • Handle a variety of administrative tasks, including managing school correspondence, filing, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with student attendance records and liaise with parents regarding absences or appointments.
  • Support the school leadership team with scheduling meetings and coordinating events.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies are adhered to when dealing with visitors, children, and sensitive information.
  • Perform other administrative duties as requested by the headteacher or senior staff.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working as a school administrator or receptionist is essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • A friendly, professional, and approachable manner.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and school management systems (desirable).
  • Knowledge of school safeguarding procedures (desirable).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and work effectively in a busy environment.
