Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for working with metal. This role involves fabricating and assembling various components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the welding process. The successful applicant will be proficient in using both power and hand tools, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Duties

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.
• Perform welding tasks using stick welding techniques, ensuring strong and durable joints.
• Utilise basic maths skills to interpret blueprints and measurements accurately.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively in the fabrication process.
• Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality.

Experience

• Must have experience with Structural Steelwork
• Proven experience in welding, particularly with stick welding methods.
• Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes is advantageous.
• Experience using various power tools and hand tools relevant to metalworking.
• A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 40 hours per week
• Day Shift
