HGV Technician needed

Our client, a privately owned top truck franchise group, is seeking for a HGV Technician to join their team in Belvedere branch.

The ideal candidate will be taking on responsibility to perform diagnostics and carry out maintenance and repairs on trucks.

Role: HGV Technician

Hours: Mon-Sat (Apply online only) then Mon-Fri (Apply online only) alternate weeks

Location: Belvedere

Key Responsibilities:

• You'll be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques.
• You'll work independently to maintain and repair DAF vehicles and components.
• You'll carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).
• You'll provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians.
• You'll carry out final checks on work that has been completed.

Requirements:

• A completed secondary vocational education.
• A broad vehicle-related technical knowledge, preferably of DAF products.
• An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles.
• Familiarization with developments in the automotive industry.
