What you'll be doing:

We are looking for a talented Internal Communications Officer to join a team that is transforming the way we communicate with and engage colleagues across the UK and Ireland to drive business performance.

The Internal Communications Officer plays a key role in the day-to-day running of our internal communication channels, the creation of multi-channel assets for internal audiences and the preparation and delivery of our monthly newsletter, Veolia Essentials.

You will craft content to keep our UK and Ireland employees informed, inspired and engaged. This will include writing, editing and proofreading written and video materials for online and offline channels.

You will brief and coordinate the production of communication materials through our in-house creative team. As a skilled writer, you will draft messages or scripts from internal experts for presentation to staff in written or spoken form.

You will play a crucial role in managing and engaging with key stakeholders, establishing yourself as an internal communications expert. You will guide stakeholders on best practices, ensuring effective communication strategies.

Your responsibilities will include managing the end-to-end delivery of projects and campaigns, from developing comprehensive internal communications plans to implementing them and evaluating their effectiveness.

  • Proven experience in communications, particularly in developing compelling content and managing various channels within tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional and matrix teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder influencing capabilities
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in data analysis and presentation of reports
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a talent for building relationships across all levels of the organisation.
