Electrical Design Engineer (Machinery & Packaging Equipment)

• Permanent Position
• Salary up to £45,000 pa, depending on experience, plus yearly bonus
• Location: St. Neots area (Cambridgeshire/Bedfordshire)
• Own transportation is required due to the company location
• Office based - Monday to Friday

We're looking for a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join a market-leading manufacturer of food processing & packaging machinery based in the St. Neots - Huntingdon - Cambridge area (Cambs / Beds).

If you enjoy designing control panels, wiring schematics and electrical systems for automated machinery - this one's for you.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Designing electrical schematics, wiring layouts & control panels (AutoCAD/EPLAN)
• Working alongside mechanical & software teams on PLC/HMI integration
• Ensuring compliance with IEC 60204, ISO 13849, BS7671
• Supporting testing, troubleshooting and production builds
• Working with LV (110-600V) and ELV (24V) systems

What You'll Bring:

• HNC/HND (or above) in Electrical Engineering
• Electrical design experience within machinery / automation
• AutoCAD or EPLAN proficiency
• Solid understanding of PLCs, HMIs & motor control

Desirable

• Experience with Mitsubishi, Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLCs
• Knowledge of industrial comms: Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, RS232/485
