Service Engineer

Service Engineer - Braintree Area - up to 40,000 - 25 Days holiday + Bank Holidays

Prime Appointments are excited to partner with a leading provider of personal and fixed-point detection equipment, supporting clients across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued growth, we are now looking for a Service Engineer to join their expanding team based at the Coggeshall head office.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Service Engineer to work with industry-leading gas detection systems and contribute to the company's ongoing success. If you're passionate about engineering and keen to further your career in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test, calibrate, and maintain electronic and electrical gas detection equipment at the facility
• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues in collaboration with the technical team
• Document service activities, including test results, repairs, and maintenance
• Travel to client sites for installations, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment
• Provide on-site technical support and training to clients
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction during external visits

Qualifications:

• Background in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or related field)
• Hands-on experience in testing, calibrating, and troubleshooting electronic and electrical equipment
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and problem-solving techniques
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
• A full UK driving license and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays
