Class 2 Driver

Pro-Found Recruitment are looking to recruit a Class 2 Driver for our client based in Reading.

Class 2 Driver Benefits:

• Pay: Up to 16 per hour plus o/t rates
• Location: Reading, RG2
• Hours: 7am to finish (core hours 7am to 4pm) - flexibility required
• Monday to Friday and occasional weekends
• Some occasional overnight stays - fully expensed by the client
• Start date: Week commencing 22nd April 2025
• Contract: Temporary ongoing - potential to become permanent for the right person

Class 2 Driver role:

Required to drive Class 2 and 7.5 tonne vehicles, delivering and carrying out basic installation of outdoor furniture to locations around the UK.

Class 2 Driver Duties:

• Driving Class 2 and 7.5 tonne vehicle - vehicle has to be left on site so you will need your own transport to get to and from the depot
• Basic on site installation of furniture, benches, tables, planters and booth seating
• Using hand tools
• Provide excellent customer service when delivering goods
• Handling driver dockets and paperwork
• Avoiding damages to stock through proper manual handling
• Daily checking of delivery vehicles
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations
• Must be flexible with hours
• Strong work ethic
• Be able to work using own initiative
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Be a team player

Class 2 Driver Criteria:

• Full UK driving licence with Cat C entitlement
• CPC Card and Digi tacho card
• No more than 3 points on your driving licence
• Excellent driving skills
• Excellent navigation and route planning skills
• Willingness to work on site as well as driving
• Strong customer service and time management skills
• No unspent convictions as the role requires s basic DBS check
