Overview: We are working with a well-regarded, independent Accountancy Firm based in North London, currently looking to appoint an ambitious and motivated Audit and Accounts Semi Senior. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to gain hands-on experience across both audit and accounts, with full study support and excellent mentoring from experienced managers.

The Role: As an Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior, you'll gain broad exposure across statutory audits, accounts preparation, corporation tax, and VAT. You'll work as part of a close-knit team, reporting to Seniors and Managers, with opportunities to take on increasing responsibility as you progress.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in planning and conducting audits for a variety of clients

Prepare year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders

Draft corporation tax computations and support with personal tax where required

Prepare and review VAT returns and bookkeeping records

Liaise with clients to request records and resolve basic queries

Work on-site for audits (as needed) and support the wider team on ad hoc projects

Maintain compliance with internal procedures and deadlines

Support junior trainees and contribute to a positive team environment

Requirements: Part-qualified ACA or ACCA (or AAT finalist with intention to continue studies)

2+ years' experience in a UK accountancy practice

Exposure to both audit and accounts work (even if skewed more to one)

Good working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage

Strong communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude

Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic practice setting
