Sounds great, what will I be doing?
In this role, they will manage a caseload of clients requiring early intervention or preventative mental health support, delivering both one-to-one and group-based activities that empower service users to engage with their recovery. They will clearly communicate the service's aims, model, and pathways to ensure clients can fully participate and co-produce their support. The role involves supporting clients in their interactions with professionals such as community mental health teams, housing providers, and Job Centre Plus, while also developing co-produced group activities, peer support networks, and other community-based initiatives that promote personal growth and wellbeing. They will actively monitor the health, safety, and wellbeing of clients, responding to concerns in line with procedures. As part of a flexible team, they will contribute to overall service delivery, support colleagues, and take initiative in completing additional tasks as needed. The role also requires maintaining accurate and timely records, ensuring effective referrals and reviews, and participating in supervision, appraisals, and ongoing development.

Here's what the team will be looking for
The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals facing mental health challenges and/or dual diagnosis, with a strong understanding of the issues affecting this group and how to communicate and provide support with dignity and respect. They will be knowledgeable about relevant mental health legislation, safeguarding, and the principles and approaches of recovery. The role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, including supporting the induction of new peer staff and volunteers, and collaborating effectively with statutory services. Candidates should have experience planning and delivering added-value initiatives such as events, groups, or volunteer programmes, and be confident in building partnerships across statutory and community sectors. They will bring strong communication, risk assessment, and case management skills, and be capable of representing the organisation at external events, including delivering presentations to stakeholders. The candidate must demonstrate effective time management, the ability to work under pressure, and good IT literacy, particularly in MS Word, Outlook, and internet-based tools. Strong written communication, numeracy, and local knowledge of mental health and wellbeing services are essential.
