Mental Health Social Worker

Up to £32 per hour

The London Borough of Camden is seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our Adults' Mental Health Services. We are looking for an organised professional with excellent legislative knowledge and a commitment to co-production, working with individuals with complex mental health needs.

The Role

You will be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team, providing high-quality statutory social work intervention. Your core duties will include:

• Holistic Assessment: Conducting comprehensive assessments of mental health and social care needs, including Care Act assessments and reviews.
• Co-Produced Planning: Developing and implementing co-produced care and support plans with residents that promote recovery, independence, and well-being.
• Risk Management: Undertaking effective risk assessment and management to ensure the safety of service users and the community.
• Safeguarding: Leading on complex safeguarding enquiries in line with relevant legislation and policy.
• Partnership Working: Actively engaging in partnership working with other statutory and voluntary organisations, as well as providing effective liaison with inpatient units.
• Support Networks: Working closely with carers and wider supportnetworks to ensure a comprehensive and person-centred approach.
• Administrative Excellence: Maintaining accurate record keeping and report writing to meet professional and statutory standards.

About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Essential Experience: Significant experience of working with adults with psychosis and complex needs.
• Legislative Expertise: A robust working knowledge of relevant legislation, policy & procedure, including the Care Act (2014), Mental Health Act (1983/2007), Mental Capacity Act (2005), and Safeguarding adults procedures.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with service users from diverse backgrounds and build professional relationships.
• Professional Qualification: Must be a qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
