Assembly Operative

Job Title: Assembly Operative - Manufacturing / EngineeringLocation: LetchworthHours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (40 hours)

We are recruiting for an experienced Assembly Operative to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing company in Letchworth. This is a permanent, full-time role within a modern production environment offering stability and progression.

This position would suit someone with previous manufacturing, production or assembly experience who is looking for a new challenge in a unique sector.

• Mechanical assembly of components to specification

• Cutting and assembling parts using hand tools

• Working from technical drawings and written instructions

• Meeting production schedules and daily targets

• Completing production paperwork and quality records

• Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages

• Maintaining high quality standards

• Adhering to Health & Safety procedures

• Previous experience as an Assembly Operative, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative or Automotive Assembler

• Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings

• Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing environment

• Good attention to detail

• Reliable and able to work to deadlines

• Comfortable with manual handling

• Permanent, stable employment
