About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Estates Surveyor to join a dynamic and forward-thinking local authority in the South East on a 6-month interim contract.
As part of the Council's Estates and Asset Management team, you will play a key role in managing a diverse property portfolio including operational, investment, and community assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and review the Council's property portfolio, ensuring effective estate management practices.
- Handle lease negotiations, rent reviews, renewals, acquisitions, and disposals.
- Provide professional property advice to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure the Council's property interests are protected and optimised.
- Prepare reports, valuations, and documentation in line with statutory and local governance requirements.
- Support strategic asset management initiatives and contribute to long-term estate planning.
- Requirements MRICS qualified (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in estates management within a local authority or public sector environment.
