Role Overview: The Fire Alarm Engineer will be responsible for the on-site maintenance, inspection, repair, and compliance of fire alarm systems at a single static site. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a fixed location.
Key Responsibilities - Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections of fire alarm systems, ensuring continuous operation and compliance
- Identify and resolve technical issues with fire alarm systems promptly, minimizing downtime.
- Monitor the performance and status of fire alarm systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and testing, ensuring all systems meet regulatory standards (e.g., BS 5839).
- Collaborate with on-site management and other stakeholders to provide updates and address any system concerns.
- Advise on necessary system upgrades or improvements to enhance fire safety measures.
- Follow all site-specific health and safety protocols, ensuring safe working practices at all times.
- Essential:
- Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer
- Knowledge of Gent alarm systems
- Familiarity with BS 5839 and other relevant fire safety standards.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
