We are seeking a Driver/Storekeeper to join our team and assist with the below:
Job Overview:
Day to day running of the stores
Serving customers on the trade counter
Receiving goods
Storing goods
Picking orders
Delivering orders
Responsibilities:
Receive stock items - checking documentation and quantities supplied. Report all goods shortages to the sales department
Produce hand-written "dummy" delivery notes for any goods that arrive without supporting paperwork
Serve customers on the trade counter
Pick stock for customers on the trade counter, customer collections and deliveries.
Manage / maintain stock levels and notify sales staff of shortages
Deliver customer orders
Raise returns note where required and attach this to the delivery note with full details, provide a copy to the accounts department
Help maintain a safe working environment within the stores e.g., keeping aisles and fire exits clear, checking equipment and ladder safety
Assist with stock checks
Do not waste time, use your time to be productive
Perform other duties that may be deemed necessary to ensure the effective running of the stores and the Company
Essential Experience Requirements:
Valid driving licence to drive a vehicle in the UK
Reasonable level of literacy and numeracy
Good customer service skills
Desirable Experience Requirements:
Previous experience in a store's environment beneficial although not essential.

Performance Expectations:
Stores
Double check orders before sending them out on the van or passing them over to a customer on the trade counter
Ensure goods are stored correctly, safely, and good housekeeping is practiced.
Replace and maintain stock levels
Driving / Deliveries
Daily/weekly van checks (oil etc)
Vehicles kept clean and tidy
No at fault accidents or damage to vehicle
Report faults with vans immediately
No fines for traffic / Highway Code violations
Good and friendly approach on deliveries (no customer complaints)
Personal
Good timekeeping and attendance
Good attitude towards work colleagues and customers
Good communications with colleagues and managers
Using "downtime" to be productive e.g., tidying stores, improving housekeeping etc
Working as a team player
Working Hours:
Monday - Friday 8AM - 6PM (1 Hour Lunch Break)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 45 per week
