CNC Sliding Head Machinist - Braintree - Up to 42,000 - 25 days holiday

We're seeking a skilled CNC Sliding Head Machinist to join a precision engineering company in Braintree. If you have experience with Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes, strong problem-solving skills, and a background in machining, this could be the perfect opportunity.

The Role:

• Setting, operating, and programming Citizen Sliding Head Lathes (Fanuc controls)
• Selecting tools and adjusting programs to produce high-quality components
• Conducting first-off approvals, in-process quality checks, and completing QA records
• Following engineering drawings, work instructions, and H&S procedures

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in CNC setting, programming & problem-solving
• Ability to read & interpret detailed engineering drawings
• Familiarity with Fanuc or Siemens CNC programming (training provided)
• Self-sufficient in quality control & first-off approvals
• Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience preferred
