Hours: 8.30 am - 3.15 pm

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students with SEN?

GSL Education are offering an exciting opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant in a supportive and inclusive school in Buckhurst Hill, Essex. This is a full-time, long-term role, where you will work closely with students with complex needs, helping them to engage with learning and reach their full potential.

As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will provide tailored support on a 1:1 basis, using a child-centred approach to ensure the best outcomes for each student. The role requires someone who is proactive, resilient, and passionate about making a positive impact in students' lives.

Teaching Assistant (TA) Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support for students with SEN or complex needs.
• Work with teachers to deliver personalised learning and help students access the curriculum.
• Support the emotional and social development of students, promoting positive behaviours.
• Foster an inclusive environment that caters to the individual needs of each student.
• Help with the development of personalised learning plans and track student progress.

Requirements & Skills for a Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience working with SEN students or students with complex needs.
• Ability to provide 1:1 support using a child-centred approach.
• Resilient and proactive in your approach to supporting students.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
