About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and other professionals to deliver tailored support to pupils with autism and a range of complex needs. You will provide assistance both 1:1 and in small group settings, helping learners to engage with the curriculum, build independence, and develop essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualised support to students with autism and complex learning needs.
• Assist teachers with planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons.

• Provide emotional and pastoral support, promoting well-being and positive relationships.

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting children with autism and complex needs (essential).
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach when working with learners.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
