Job Requirements/Description

A proactive and detail-oriented Studio Assistant with strong finance administration skills and software experience is required for a multi-award-winning architecture practice. Reporting to the Studio Manager, you will serve as the first point of contact for the studio, ensuring smooth daily operations and contributing to the overall financial management of the practice. This is a crucial role, and the ideal candidate will bring a blend of financial acumen and a passion for supporting a creative team.

The successful candidate will have experience in administrative finance functions, such as managing budgets, handling invoices, and supporting financial reporting processes. You should also be comfortable using finance-related software and tools to assist with day-to-day operations. Additionally, a background in the arts or design industries is beneficial, along with a genuine enthusiasm for architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, answering phones, and responding to emails.
  • Organise business travel, including booking flights, hotels, and itineraries.
  • Provide administrative support to the Directors and Studio Manager.
  • Work closely with the Finance Manager, supporting financial administration, including invoice processing, budget tracking, and financial record-keeping.
  • Manage event and exhibition tickets and bookings.
  • Help maintain the studio environment to ensure it is well-organised and presentable.
  • Use software tools for finance-related tasks, such as accounting software, spreadsheets, and budget management systems.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with finance administration and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as Excel, accounting systems, and other finance-related applications.

This role requires someone with a strong can-do attitude, a proactive nature, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, sociable environment. We are looking for someone who is excited to contribute to both the creative and financial aspects of a dynamic architecture practice.
